Absolutely.

Right now I'm doing a POC of gitea on a new datacenter I've constructed
to potentially transition our SCM to for the next round of effort.

We've been using gitlab up to this point but it is so overengineered
under the hood that I'm tired of all the maintenance and cost
associated with it. We really don't need alot of features out of an
SCM -- downstream mirror repo replication, issue tracker (though we can
rely on downstream mirror repo issue trackers on github and that other
one

We could use some help with branding, public relations strategy,
community engagement -- one thing this project struggles with is
attracting competent developers who will make or push for decisions
that move it forward (which includes holding my feet to the fire to
make progress, as well as changing my development approach, which so
far I think has not been the "best").

I don't think how we've managed the blog at linux.silogroup.org is the
best approach, but, I have no other ideas myself about what would be
the best way to keep updates announced. I'd be receptive to a proposal
that overhauls how we do public engagement in general that results in a
positive and inclusive attraction of developers familiar with cross-
compilation on linux systems with the gnu toolchains.

So essentially, SDLC, public engagement strategy, branding are the big
important items at this stage I think unless somebody chimes in with
better ideas.

There was a big upheaval of the roster of people helping out as a
result of the whole Freenode/Libera fiasco a while back and we lost the
few staff we had during the scuffle, so, I see it as an opportunity to
refresh the whole project and maybe do things a little better with new
people. I think that having people with designated roles in the
project at all was a mistake at the early stage in the game this
project is in.
